Android: string length problem
I've been struggling with this for hours and I can't find the answer anywhere.
I have a string in a variable named "ListString" and I'm trying to check how long it is. The code looks like this:
String s="word";
if(s.length()==1)
{
System.out.println("LONG");
}
else if(s.length()==2)
{
System.out.println("LONGER");
}
The result I want to see is:
"LONG"
But what I actually get is:
"LONGER"
I've seen this question:

but I can't figure out what the problem is and the solution doesn't seem to work.

String s="word";
The variable is declared with a capital letter, which is a String object. Try this:
String s="word";
You'll have to find your capitalized variable somewhere else...
